Adriana Lima

       Adriana Lima was the first big Brazilian supermodel. She was born in Salvador, Brazil on July twelfth, 1981. Adriana’s mother, Maria das Graças Lima, was a social worker. Her father, Nelson Torres, was a carpenter and left when she was six months old.  She was engaged to musician Lenny Kravitz in the early 2000s before marrying now-retired NBA player Marko Jari in 2009. The couple had two daughters. Valentina was born in 2009 and Sienna was born three years later in 2012. Adriana and Marko announced their divorce in 2014 and it was finalized two years later in 2016. They were married for seven years. The cause of their divorce is still unclear but there have been rumors of him cheating on her in 2014. Adriana began dating film producer Andre Lemmers in 2021. They had their first child together, Cyan, in 2022. The couple then married during a secret ceremony in Abu Dhabi. Adriana then announced the marriage through Instagram on December seventeenth, 2024. 

       Adriana started her career with Victoria’s Secret in 1999 at eighteen years old. She modeled as an angel until 2018. Adriana returned to Victoria’s Secret to model in the 2024 fashion show. Adriana is the longest-running Victoria’s Secret model even with her break. Adriana was a spokesmodel for Maybelline from 2003 to 2009 and has worked with top fashion houses like Versace, Prada, Givenchy, and Balmain. Adriana paved the way for Brazilian supermodels in the fashion industry.
